Maui Arts & Cultural Center offers a summer visual arts education program, Young Artmakers, at Schaefer International Gallery. The program, led by teaching artists and gallery staff for kids ages 5-7 and 8-12, provides an opportunity to meet and make new friends while enhancing and exercising their creative skills. Teaching artists Joyce Jeffers, Tia Brady, and Sachelle Dae bring a breadth of artistic and educational experience to this immersive arts program, empowering students to work in a diverse range of media. Each session will meet for four consecutive classes (Tuesday through Friday, for two hours) over the course of a week. Participants will also have the opportunity to experience the inaugural MACC Biennial exhibition, in a guided tour as part of their class.
